Binlin Linen Manufacturers

This one’s a bit of a well-kept secret tucked in the streets of Chinatown… But it’s well worth the trip out! On our last visit we spotted great quality cheeseboards from $30, other lovely wooden utensils such as spoons and salad bowls and lots of kitchen and home decor items made of rattan, wood, seagrass and linen. There are some rustic-looking copper pots and pans too!

Swedish furniture brand IKEA is probably the average person’s go-to for stocking up on home essentials thanks to the crazy good prices. Stroll around the themed kitchen showrooms at Alexandra and Tampines and get inspiration for your dream kitchen. Do note though, this is not a kid-friendly store; there’s too many people, sharp objects and glass so leave the little ones at home when you do your kitchenware shopping spree!

This humble family-owned pottery business has been around since 1965 and is one of the only dragon kilns in Singapore. You won’t find any fancy kitchen gadgets here but what you will find is a huge selection of beautiful pottery at incredibly affordable prices! They’re also available for purchase and delivery online (but we think it’s not quite the same as checking out the pottery jungle in person!).
