On the heels of our super popular first Sassy Pregnancy Club / Stork’s Nest Pregnancy Coffee Morning, we’re so excited to announce the follow-up session on Tuesday 3 November at Camden Medical Centre, mama!
After talking you through your options for Natural Birth, this time around we’ll be featuring one of the most popular paediatricians in Singapore, Dr. Natalie Epton of International Paediatric Clinic (IPC), who’ll be speaking on the topic “Choosing a Paediatrician for your Newborn and Knowing What Role They Play”.
Having lived and worked in Singapore since 2002 with a focus on Neonatology and well baby and infant care, Dr. Epton really knows her stuff! She’ll let you know what to look for in a paediatrician to ensure they’re a good fit – don’t feel like you just have to go with whoever the hospital assigns you at birth, mama! Dr. Epton is a mama herself and is totally lovely, which is why we know you’ll love the Q+A session with her following her talk!
Pregnant mamas who attend this session will also hear from Paul Bell, founder of The Osteopathic Centre. Paul has more than 11 years’ experience treating mums and their babies, and will share some of the common conditions he sees in clinic including sleep issues, tongue tie, feeding problems, flat head syndrome, pelvic floor strains and much more. He’ll also be available after the session for one-on-one questions.
Just like last time, there will be heaps of other helpful folks on hand to make your pregnancy and parenting journey easier, including International Medical Clinic (IMC), which specialises in family, paediatric and travel medicine; Mom in Balance, a fabulous outdoor workout team that helps women stay fit and active both during after pregnancy (hot tip: they’ll be giving out free trial passes on the day!); New Mothers’ Support Group – Singapore’s awesome social community aimed at connecting new mamas and building friendships – will be there with details on how to join; and The Osteopathic Centre, who have been helping patients improve their overall wellbeing for over 10 years, and will explain all the mama and baby-related therapies they offer.
Of course it wouldn’t be a proper gathering if we didn’t also feed you! Sabine’s Baskets will provide mamas and mamas-to-be with free fruit and veg snacks, and will also have all the deets on their awesome home delivery service. Meanwhile, The Artisan’s Apron will be proffering yummy gluten-free cake samples along with details on their healthy birthday cakes.
If you’ve got finances on the brain, mama, we’ve got you covered there, too: AXA will be introducing their award-winning Mum’s Advantage product tailored specifically to pregnant women; it’s a medical and investment plan that covers 18 congenital illnesses and eight pregnancy complications, along with a handy option to transfer coverage to your newborn baby – whatever makes life easier after birth, we say! St. James’s Place Wealth Management will also be there with info about their free talks on Wills, Guardianship & Protection for expats in Singapore. They’ll even have a Temporary Guardianship form on hand and can guide you through how to complete it!
Does that sound like a party or what, mama? Fortunately the lovely Katie Martin-Sperry Photography will also be on hand to capture it all, highlighted by a “Shoot your Bump” booth that proved quite popular last time around. If you attended our last talk as well, won’t it be fun to see how your bump has grown since then?
We are so delighted to be bringing so many amazing resources together in one place, and it’s all completely FREE! Just fill out your deets in the form below, mama, and make sure to mark your calendar, because this is one event you will not want to miss!
