A must-visit is the new exhibition Inventions of Ancient Greece: Origins of Our Modern Technology, which is specially curated by the Kotsanas Museum of Ancient Greek Technology and features more than 40 inventions that span disciplines like automation, programming, astronomy, time-keeping, and music. It’s a fab way to introduce kiddos to the marvelous civilisation that was Ancient Greece and inspire them in the areas of science and technology. Who knew the Greeks created the world’s first vending machine, laptop, and automatic opening gates way back in the first century A.D.?!

Want to get a bit of winter? Journey to Yellowknife, Canada to learn more about the Aurora Northern Lightsnature’s very own celestial light show – with a landmark viewing at the Omni-Theatre. Seeing the Aurora Borealis is on many a person’s bucket list – now you can save on airfare and cold weather gear by viewing it in spectacular 4K x 4K Real-time Virtual Reality. It’s the first time ever that the Northern Lights have been captured in such a realistic resolution.

Meet Hansel & Gretel (and Santa!) at Snow City this Christmas

Of course, kiddos can balance out the ultra-realistic with a lovely bit of Christmas magic at Singapore’s largest indoor snow playground, Snow City! In addition to Snow City’s ever popular snow fall and blizzard experience, children can get into the festive spirit with Christmas carols and storytelling courtesy of its winter special, Hansel & Gretel’s Winter Adventure! There will even be interactive meet-and-greets with Hansel, Gretel, and the man in red himself – Santa Claus!

Meet butterflies from the Philippines at Butterflies Up-Close

Ready to journey back to the tropics after all that snow? Take an immersive journey through the different stages of butterfly metamorphosis at Butterflies Up-Close, Singapore’s first indoor butterfly sanctuary. In addition to a variety of butterfly species from all of the world, this season is featuring butterflies from the Philippines – see if you can spot them, mama! Be sure to take advantage of the free guided tour, in which both you and the kiddos can learn fun facts about butterflies, too.

Finally, when your munchkins are ready to get their wiggles out, be sure to visit KidsSTOP™ where they can overcome their fear of heights and building confidence with a fun free-fall experience at Singapore’s first ever Giant J Slide! There will also be a Christmas storytelling session to help Elly the Elf learn about stress and understand the importance of time management. On top of all that, there are more than 20 exhibits designed to help children grasp Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) concepts through interactive play.
