New month, new finds! Fun stuff continues to pop up despite current uncertainties due to COVID-19, so we’re glad there are ways for us to safely break out of our boredom.

If you and your kiddos love FUTURE WORLD at the ArtScience Museum, you’re in for a treat as teamLab launches five exciting new digital artworks from 14 March!
The permanent exhibition challenges the conventional notion of art museums and how people experience art with its combination of art, technology and science. Four new digital artworks by teamLab will be on display in the opening gallery of the exhibition, City in A Garden. They include the Southeast Asia debut of Proliferating Immense Life, A Whole Year per Year – a giant interactive mural of blooming flowers. The Sanctuary gallery will also feature a new version of Way of Birds, a stunning installation that explores the enigmatic movement of a flock of birds.

Artistic siblings Zach (7) and Sara Edwards (6) decided to use their talents for good by starting Lil’ Brushes, a series of beautiful notebooks with all proceeds going towards Very Special Choir (VSC). Formed in 2017 by a group of passionate parents, the choir includes children with special needs like Downs Syndrome, Autism, Global Development Delay and ADHD.
Lil’ Brushes is a true team effort by the talented duo. Korkor Zach had an idea to sell their paintings to raise funds for the choir before they decided to brainstorm with the help of their parents and embark on creating their brand, logo design, and names for each notebook: Teeny the Tiger; Jerry the Wolf Howling at the Moon; Abbie the Rooster; Tommy & Jack the Zebras; and Enchanted Paris!
Kiddos will love the cool paintings on each book, and we think it’s a great way to share the joys of contributing to the community and introducing charity work to children. Notebooks are priced at $12 each.
Another Scoop Wholefoods is set to open this March at PLQ mall! Easties can now look forward to their amazing range of organic goods that encourage that zero-waste lifestyle. New playground alert! An Eastie mama has spotted this freshly built outdoor playground at PLQ, between PLQ3 and the residences. Our source says there’s even a water fountain and some grassy areas, with restaurants set to open right next to the playground (Jimmy Monkey Cafe being among them!) and shaded areas to come to take respite from the heat! We know that outdoor play is still safe amidst the COVID-19 situation, so make sure to check it out mama — just remind your littlies to wash their hands afterwards (or use hand sanitizer in a pinch)!
