Istana Open House for National Day 2024: Live Performances & National Day-themed activities

Exciting news, peeps! The National Day Istana Open House 2024 will be held on Sunday, 28 July 2024, 8:30am to 6pm and this year there will be live performances, food trucks and fun National Day-themed activity booths! The National Day Istana Open House is FREE for all Singapore Citizens and Permanent Residents. For all other visitors, there is an entrance fee of $20 per adult and $10 per child aged between four and 12. Read more about what to expect at the Istana Open House here.

Performances:

9.00am – 10.15am: Handbells Ensemble by Townsville Primary School
10.00am – 10.15am: Nila – Dance of the Nation
10.00am – 12.00pm: Performance by singer-songwriter Lyla Ng
10.30am – 11.00am Malay Dance by Bedok Green Primary School
10.30am – 11.30am Concert Band by River Valley High School
11.45am – 12.30pm: Harp Ensemble by Paya Lebar Methodist Girls’ Secondary
12.45pm – 1.45pm: Choir Performance by Nan Hua High School
2.00pm – 2.30pm: Chinese Dance by Endeavour Primary School
2.00pm – 3.00pm: Chinese Orchestra by Beatty Secondary School
2.00pm – 4.00pm: Performance by local singer, Asher Wenyao Mendelsohn
3.00pm – 3.15pm: Nila – Dance of the Nation
3.15pm – 3.40pm: Silat by Madrasah Al-Ma’arif Al-Islamiah
3.50pm – 3.55pm: Multi-ethnic Dance Performance by PA Talents and Eurasian Association Singapore
4.00pm – 4.30pm: Indian Dance by Qihua Primary School
4.00pm – 5.15pm: Performance by local singer-songwriter, Thaarmin
5.20pm – 5.35pm: Nila – Dance of the Nation

Activity Booths: 8:30am – 6.00pm

Look forward to plenty of National Day-themed activities that will take place at the main tent. Activities include exciting sports games such as floor curling, bean bag toss and mini table-tennis. You can also get crafty with plenty of craft activities including candle making, paper quilling and Nagomi Art painting.

9.30am – 5.00pm: Istana Main Building Guided Tour and State Gift Display
10.00am – 4.00pm: Hourly Istana Nature Guided Tour by NParks

Food Trucks at National Day Istana Open House 2024

There will also be food trucks (Old Chang Kee), food stalls (Udders Ice Cream, State of Affairs, EpiKebabs), as well as Drinks Booths and merchandise booths with limited-edition Istana souvenirs and President’s Challenge souvenirs. All fees collected and proceeds from the merchandise booths will go towards charities supported by the President’s Challenge.

Admission to National Day Istana Open House 2024

Singapore Citizens and Permanent Residents enter for free as will children below 4 years old. Other visitors will pay an admission fee of $20 per adult and $10 per child aged 4 to 12. There are also fees applicable for entry to the Istana Main Building Guided Tour and Nature Guided Tour.
