eXplorerkid: Fun Indoor Play that Develops Kids’ Motor Skills and Creative Skills

Have fun while learning – that’s the dream for our kiddos isn’t it? eXplorerkid aims to do exactly that with their super indoor play areas designed to bring out the best in kids physically, mentally and creatively.

Physical Skills and Hand- Eye Coordination
It’s been said time and time again how physical exercise helps kids learn, and promotes scholastic performance as well as being healthy for kids’ bodies. That’s reason enough for us to head down to the Downtown East branch of eXplorerkid!

Make a beeline for their two tier rope element obstacle course complete with suspension bridge for an extra challenge. This Adventure Highlands circuit is suitable for children of all ages (there are two levels of difficulty) plus mama and dad can have a go too (safety equipment is provided).

Next up, the rock climbing wall, The Cliff. Here kids can work on some upper body strength and improve their physical skills by climbing up. At the Mega Play, a multi levelled obstacle course, kids can work on their spatial awareness and climb through different areas within the mega-outfit.
Tip: Remember to bring socks for everyone mama!

Soft Skills
eXplorerkid has two outlets at AMK Hub and Downtown East where they put on monthly educational workshops to develop childrens’ soft skill capabilities too. This is where kids can dabble in cooking, communication skills and even public speaking workshops – a great one for confidence building. For flexibility and mindfulness, there are kids’ yoga classes too.

Creativity & Imagination Skills
Aside from the monthly creative workshops that are great for the imagination as well as emotional intelligence, there are handicraft workshops and storytelling sessions too. Come the holidays, check out their holiday camps, science camps mama!

Sensory Skills
There’s a special area for kids to do on-the-spot arts and crafts like frame making, coin bank painting, batik painting and foil art. Kinetic sand is a great one for kids of all ages to indulge in sensory play!

For littlies there is a ball pit too. Unlike pretty much every other ball pit though, this one has light reflected on the transparent balls making the sensory play a visual treat.
