As parents, we all want to give our children the best education possible, but the best doesn’t always have to be the most expensive! The Grange Institution offers families affordable fees with structured subject learning and inquiry-based thematic learning, all specialist subjects included plus amazing future-ready experiences such as involvement in the urban ‘food forest’ and eco-garden. We take a look at how this family-centric international school offers a truly holistic experience that won’t break the bank!
Affordable all-inclusive education
The Grange is one of the first schools on the red dot to deliver both the International Primary Curriculum (IPC) and the Cambridge Primary Curriculum for students. But beyond these curriculums, each student’s learning experience isn’t limited, as they’re also privy to a wide number of specialist subjects such as art, technology and music. Taught by teachers who are exhaustively shortlisted based on their depth of educational experiences, and their passion and belief in the school’s vision, these specialist subjects come at zero extra cost to you!
Educators at The Grange go beyond just helping children with academic rigour; instead, children are encouraged to reach their full potential by ‘looking at the bigger picture’ – a technique that’s allowing students to make connections across different subjects and understand topics and issues in the world from multiple perspectives. Every child’s learning pathway is well-formulated with rigorous structured subject learning and inquiry-based thematic learning guided by the Cre8tors-in-Action’ © philosophy.
Learning through outdoor play: Eco-garden & ‘Food Forest’
Books, worksheets and projects aren’t the only way children here learn. As part of its award-winning Green Granger initiative, The Grange has an eco-garden and an urban ‘Food Forest’ that is integrated into the outdoor play area. This way, children get to learn and play while being at one with nature. Through being involved with the food forest and seeing how vegetables and plants are grown, they gain a stronger awareness of sustainability plus other current global issues. The school is also progressively developing a 1.5-acre green field into a bigger, more conducive outdoor learning space for students to enjoy in the near future.
Providing a diverse, family-centred environment
The Grange is a smaller-sized international school, but this only enhances your child’s learning boundaries. The school works closely with parents to create a larger-than-life learning environment for its students. Additionally, students are also exposed to a diverse community, as The Grange is home to more than 22 nationalities – this teaches children mindfulness and tolerance while allowing them to feel unique and yet, part of a group.
