I literally have Marks & Spencer in my blood. And I’m not just being an emotional, patriotic, Brit! Genuinely, my grandfather spent his whole career working for M&S and opened over 50 stores in is time there. So you can imagine how happy I was to discover this addition to my fave store!
So, what are they stocking and what are my top 10 recommendations? Check out this gallery for some major foodie inspo. And be sure to visit the new chilled food section (and Singapore’s first M&S Cafe, opening on 2 September!) at Wheelock Place!

The #1 slot simply has to go to the mighty Hummus. Marks & Spencer’s dip selection is to die for and this is literally the best shop-bought hummus you can buy!
How much: $7.90 a pot, also available in Reduced Fat too!
I struggle to find tomatoes here that are reasonably priced, but also have that bright red colour and that delicious sweet flavour. I eat them like grapes! These tomatoes grown in Kent, UK are simply delicious!
How much: $7.90 a pack
I only eat Scottish salmon if I can – nothing else has that brilliant orange colour, that silky texture and that perfect smokiness. So this Lochmuir Single Malt Whisky smoked salmon is a sure top 3 position in my books!
How much: $15.90 for 100g
I literally weep when I FaceTime my mum and she tells me Jersey Royals have hit the supermarkets! Whilst it’s not the season for those at the moment, these baby new potatoes are a great alternative. Boiled or steamed, served with a little butter and some fresh mint…divine!
How much: $5.90
An odd one, you might say, to make the top 10 list – but this coleslaw is seriously good – super crunchy and creamy. The perfect addition to a salad or a Jacket Potato!
How much: $4.90 a pot
Extra mature cheddar: this is British Cheese at its best. Such a fantastic cheese, with crunch that you only get with quality cheddars. It goes great with some celery, apple and chutney, or even better with some Branston pickle in a farmhouse sandwich, dribbling now…
How much: $14.50
Always a funny concept really – and an odd texture to say the least – but it is rare to see here. And these flavours are yummy! Available plain, with prawns, with Pineapple or with Onion and Chives.
How much: $7.50
As a child, no trip to M&S with Granny was complete without some fresh cakes. Filled with fresh whipped cream and strawberry conserve, these are total heaven. So naughty, but so nice.
How much: $5.90
Such a great, classic, British dessert – always good with a dash of Sherry too 😉
How much: $11.90
Fresh Custard is so hard to find here. My kids go crazy for this, particularly over apple pie or Rhubarb crumble, mmmmm.
How much: $5.90
Massive mentions also to the fab range of smoked fish, chilled juices and ready to go salads. All that’s missing now is highly anticipated sausage rolls, pork pies and fresh cream – then my foodie heaven will complete! Well done Marks & Spencer!
