ONE Countdown 2025
This year’s countdown celebration promises to be extra special as Singapore celebrates its 60th year of independence, so you can look forward to bigger celebrations and even bigger fireworks to usher in SG60. For one, countdown celebrations will not just take place in Marina Bay this year! Celebrations will be held across the island, including Sentosa and the heartlands. Singapore Sports Hub, together with Mediacorp, will be having one of the biggest countdown parties on the island and for the first time ever, they’ll host their own fireworks display! The best part? It will be the longest single fireworks show across all 2025 countdown parties in Singapore.
Festivities start at 5pm, where kids can enjoy balloon giveaways, UV face painting, glitter tattoos, and gem embellishments. And don’t miss the Neon Playground, where glowing LED-lit swings and seesaws create an exciting glow-in-the-dark experience as you wait for the fireworks!
There will also be roaming performers, such as juggling comedian Mr. Bee, bubble artist CJ Bubble Girl, Bloco Singapura, a street magician, and even fire twirlers.
No celebration is complete without live music! Catch performances by ALYPH, Estelle Fly, Taufik Batisah, and more. And the grand finale? There will be a 15-minute fireworks display from midnight to welcome 2025 with a bang!
What makes this year extra special is the inclusion of dedicated countdown festivities for Singapore’s migrant workers! These celebrations will feature fireworks, lucky draws, live performances, and even a lively dance party!
That’s not all – we mean it when we say that this year’s countdown celebrations big. Head to Clarke Quay along the Singapore River for lively performances and a countdown drone show.
Over at Orchard and Somerset, there’s a night flea market and a kid-friendly countdown festival complete with magic shows, face-painting, and more! Additionally, Trifecta’s countdown party has jaw-dropping acrobatic performances, tarot card readings and live music!
Marina Bay Singapore Countdown 2025
Singapore’s biggest countdown celebration will be returning to Marina Bay for its 20th edition! As part of ONE Countdown 2025, a nationwide celebration marking SG60, the Marina Bay Singapore Countdown festivities are already underway, thanks to illumi!
Known as the world’s largest light and multimedia show, illumi is hosting a series of events this year-end including the magical New Year’s Eve experience where families can picnic under the stars, surrounded by stunning light displays.
Over at Esplanade – Theatres on the Bay, head to Come Together, a free series of live performances at the Esplanade Concourse and the DBS Foundation Outdoor Theatre. Enjoy local acts like The Midnight Suns, Pure Fantasy, Roseville Deluxe, and Daniel Sid.
The Fullerton Hotel Singapore will feature the second series of light projections, Brightening Lives. This special edition features original artworks by artists with disabilities, presented in collaboration with community partner The Majurity Trust and local non-profit organisation ART:DIS. Catch these projections from 26 – 31 December 2024, starting at 8pm daily.
The highlight would have to be the highly anticipated New Year’s Eve fireworks display, crafted by the team behind STAR ISLAND. This year’s fireworks will unfold across four chapters, beginning at 11pm on New Year’s Eve, and culminating in a grand finale at midnight. With a total runtime of 30 minutes, there’s no better way to welcome 2025 than at Marina Bay.

This Insta-worthy bridge is beautifully lit up in the evenings, too, so it’s always worth a trip just for the ‘gram.

2. Marina Reservoir: Marina Bay fireworks

Head to the waterfront promenade at Bay East Garden – it connects to East Coast Park via the Barrage and there are loads of great spots for stunning views of fireworks in Singapore along its 2km stretch. Best of all, the garden is open 24 hours and admission is free, so you can sit back and watch the 2025 New Year’s Eve fireworks spectacle with the fam.

9. High Street Centre Carpark: Less crowded fireworks spot
You might think it’s strange to head to a carpark for New Year’s Eve fireworks, but if you want to avoid the usually crowded places, then this is the place to go! The 5th floor of the carpark overlooks the Singapore River with a gorgeous view of the city skyline and the Marina Bay area, which is where you’ll see the 2025 fireworks!

10. Marina Barrage: Free fireworks viewing spot
You won’t get a full view of the fireworks here, but we love the green space on the rooftop of Marina Barrage that overlooks the city skyline. You can see the Singapore Flyer, Marina Bay Sands, and a glimpse of the Esplanade, plus get a peek of the New Year’s Eve fireworks. Pack a picnic and get comfy under the starry night!

11. Marina South Pier: Quiet fireworks viewing spot
Located along Marina Coastal Drive, Marina South Pier is tucked further away from the prime location for the 2025 NYE fireworks, but you’ll probably still be able to see the fireworks. If you have younger kids who might be afraid of very loud noises, then this might be a great place to catch the New Year’s Eve fireworks without busting your eardrums!

12. Marina Square Rooftop: View of Marina Bay fireworks
Okay, you might not get the best views from this spot. But since it overlooks part of the Singapore cityscape including Marina Bay Sands, you should be able to catch a glimpse of the New Year’s Eve fireworks. Since it’s located on the rooftop of a popular mall downtown, it might get crowded. So, be sure to get there early to save the best spot to see the NYE fireworks!

13. Singapore Flyer: Prime fireworks viewing spot
Catching the NYE 2025 fireworks in Singapore from the Singapore Flyer will give you the best bird’s eye view, and because it’s the hottest seat in the nation, the tickets get sold out quickly! It’s a bit of a cheat entry into the best ‘free’ spots to watch the 2024 fireworks since you still have to buy a ticket to the flyer.

New Year’s Eve 2025 fireworks at Palawan Beach, Sentosa
The fun continues at Palawan Beach, Sentosa for this year’s New Year’s Eve celebrations! Bring along the entire family, pack a picnic and enjoy free movie screenings of well-loved films such as Minions, Pirates Of The Caribbean and Stardust. The movie marathon will begin at 5:15 pm and continue until midnight as you wait for the 2025 fireworks. We recommend arriving early and securing a comfortable spot as it can get crowded.
