Rainforest Wild Asia will be Mandai Wildlife Reserve’s fifth zoological park in Singapore. From kid-friendly treks in a rainforest to free-fall jumps, ticket prices and more, here’s everything you need to know before it opens.
We’re stoked that Rainforest Wild Asia will soon open its doors in March 2025! This new zoological park offers a unique experience for families to get up close to nature. Rainforest Wild Asia will occupy a 13-hectare space, inviting people of all ages to take a break from the hustle and bustle of the city, unleash a spirit of adventure and immerse in diverse rainforest landscapes.
From stroller-friendly walkways through the rainforest to adrenaline-pumping experiences, Rainforest Wild Asia has something for everyone. Though many details have yet to be released, here’s a sneak peek into what you can look forward to next year!

The Karsts: Limestone formations & Francois langurs
When you spot jagged limestone formations, you’ll know you’re looking at The Karsts. This is one of the most scenic backdrops at Rainforest Wild Asia, so be sure to snap a pic. Plus, keep your eyes peeled for Francois langurs, a species of monkey that will make its first appearance in Singapore. Keen for more? Opt for a guided tour that will take you across the cliffs!
The Cavern: Inspired by the Mulu Caves in Sarawak
Explore The Cavern, an intricate cave system inspired by the world-famous Mulu Caves in Sarawak. In collaboration with the Sarawak Forestry Department, this attraction at Rainforest Wild Asia recreates the ancient rock formations that took millions of years to form. Journey through safe subterranean walkways or choose a more adventurous path to look for Racer snakes and Giant black scorpions.
The Forest Floor: Explore a dense jungle
Fallen trees, logs and lush greenery are what you can expect at the Forest Floor. Explore this dense part of the rainforest while ducking under trees and climbing over logs, and keep your eyes peeled for free-roaming mouse deer!
Rock Cascade: Water streams & Malayan tigers
Kids will be delighted to spot Malayan tigers prowling along the Rock Cascade This is the largest animal habitat in Rainforest Wild Asia featuring relaxing water streams and rocky terrain. Watch these majestic cats show off their power and agility as they roam and navigate through waterfalls, trees, and streams.
The Canopy: Treetop life & Javan langur
After exploring the forest floor, head to The Canopy to get a glimpse into life at the treetops and encounter species like the red-shanked douc langur and the Javan langur. The Canopy at Rainforest Wild Asia also offers a thrilling attraction for adrenaline-seekers: a 20-metre free fall with stunning views of the rainforest.
Wildlife Experiences at Rainforest Wild Asia
Rainforest Wild Asia will be home to 29 iconic animal species from the region, many of which will make their first-ever appearance in Singapore. Get up close with tigers, sun bears, tapirs, gregarious langurs and many more. Stay tuned for more details about wildlife experiences and animal shows at Rainforest Wild Asia.
Future attractions at Rainforest Wild
Rainforest Wild will have a total of ten zones for visitors to explore and get up close to nature. The second phase of opening for Rainforest Wild will unveil even more landscapes including the Afro-Tropical region and Madagascar known as Rainforest Wild Africa. Look forward to seeing more animal species amidst a rainforest of almost 7,000 Southeast Asian trees and shrubs.

We do not know the exact opening hours of Rainforest Wildlife Asia just yet, but we can use the Singapore Zoo as a gauge as this will be a daytime attraction. It will likely be open between 8:30am and 6pm.

Here are some tips to help you plan a fun adventure with your little ones at Rainforest Wild Asia:
- Lather on sunscreen and insect repellent since you will be trekking through a rainforest!

How to get to Rainforest Wild Asia
Rainforest Wild Asia will sit in the Mandai Wildlife Park, which is currently home to the Singapore Zoo, River Wonders and Bird Paradise. This adventure-based zoological park is located at 20 Mandai Lake Road, Singapore 729825.
By public bus: 927 (from Choa Chu Kang MRT) & 138 (from Ang Mo Kio MRT or Springleaf MRT)
By Mandai Khatib shuttle: Take the shuttle bus from Khatib MRT station. Tickets are $2.50 per person (aged 7 and up). Click here for the Mandai Shuttle schedule.
By Mandai City Express shuttle: Take the express shuttle bus from the city. A one-way ticket is $8 per person (aged 3 and up). Click here for the Mandai City Express shuttle schedule.
By taxi or car: Rainforest Wild Asia is about a 30-minute drive from the city. You can either take the Central Expressway (CTE) or the Pan Island Expressway (PIE) from the city. When you arrive, park at Car Park 1 near Bird Paradise. Parking is $3 for the first hour and $2 per hour for every additional hour or part thereof. Maximum parking charge is $10 per entry.
