Created by two Italian designers based in Singapore who wanted to combine their love for design with the world of children, ModuDesigners makes beautiful, functional children’s furniture pieces. We’re loving the Montessori-inspired “Cheese Table” – so named because of its table-top holes of varying widths and depths – which encourage play and exploration of concepts like size, shape and sorting. There’s also a flashlight that doubles as a table lamp (or prop for shadow puppets!), and a fixed magnet for further experiments with a variety of different materials. On top of all that the table can also be used for storing toys, art supplies…or secret treasures! We love the elegant, minimalist solid wood design, plus it’s flat-packed for easy assembly, with removable legs!

Mothercare have just opened a revamped, 10,000 square feet Mothercare Experience Megastore at HarbourFront Centre with the world’s first experiential concept showcasing cool features like a stroller test track, babywearing zone, baby gear cleaning services and nursery advisors. It’s almost enough to make us want to have another baby!
Incorporating all these hands-on, real-life elements takes the try before you buy concept to a whole new level, which we think is fabulous when purchasing major items like strollers, baby carriers and nursery furniture. For instance, they have both newborn and 1-year-old-sized dolls for trying on baby carriers, and a sample airplane cabin so you can see how their huge selection of lightweight folding stroller models (the widest range in Singapore, in fact!) stack up. You’ll definitely want to join Mothercare’s VIP programme, mama, which will now feature complimentary stroller cleaning in addition to a host of other exclusive perks. Throughout the store Mothercare’s ultra-experienced Nursery Advisors are on hand to answer the 101 questions running through the heads of overwhelmed parents-to-be (and current parents). And they didn’t forget about your little ones! The new Mothercare Experience Megastore also has a revamped children’s play area to keep kiddos occupied while you get your shop on.

How cute are these Christmas-themed hot chocolate stencils, mama? True, you may have to crank the aircon way up to want to drink hot chocolate in steamy Singapore, but these adorable stencils available in a set of 3 designs – Christmas tree, reindeer, and snowflake – add just the right touch of festive cheer to any hot drink (and they’re a lot easier to pull off than latte art!). P.S. Urban Li’l has lots of other cute holiday décor, too!
