Superfoods For Superheroes’ is Namita Mehra’s latest children’s book. We must say this book is a fun read for those who have picky eaters and for little foodies alike! There are ten mini-stories within about a little boy who discovers the surprising superpowers of everyday foods. Every story features a superfood like Coconut, Sweet Potato or Pomegranate with fun facts about the ingredient and a kid-friendly recipe. A great one to inspire healthier eating for the whole fam!
Tiger Tales: Almost True Animal Stories from Old Singapore, by Joyceline See Tully and Illustrated by Chloe Chang, is a collection of stories about animals inspired by real events in the past. There are stories about a croc found by William Farquhar in the Rochor River and a Sumatran rhino that lived in the Botanic Gardens, and the Bengal tiger spotted at the Raffles Hotel. This is a beautiful hardcover storybook for kids 4 to 8-years old, and makes great reading for those who have lived in the little red dot. We love that stories are based on real events that happened more than a century ago and the illustrations are just lovely.
Thanks to two mamas’ needs for fun activities for their kids at home due to Covid-19 restrictions, Cocomo Events was born! This new mama-owned business aims to give kids and parents a kids’ club feel right at home (or anywhere, really!) with their beautiful themed setups. Do away with the potential logistical nightmare that is schlepping the kids to a hotel for a pricey staycay and enjoy the comfort of home but with fun teepees, activities and even F&B options like afternoon tea and barbecues, all in collaboration with local bakers and food providers to offer only the best.
You can even hire an Experience Guide to take over the festivities so you can be hands-off while the kids have fun! Packages include tents, mattresses and soft furnishings, with optional add-ons such as accessories and experiences (think mani-pedis, crafting and treasure hunts!). You can choose between Day Use or Overnight Use for each setup, with flexible timings to choose from.
